Welcome back!
According to an article by Robert M. Hayes, President, Medicare Rights Center, “people with Medicare will face for 2009 a bewildering choice of nearly 50 prescription drug plans and over 40 Medicare health plans…”
Mr. Hayes compares the current and future Medicare and prescription drug plans to the Wild West of years ago, stating “older Americans are ripe for exploitation.”
Seniors and caregivers alike must read this important article. Do not go into 2009 in the dark about the changes in health care and drug plans as the re-enrollment season looms on the horizon.
With myriad and confusing changes rapidly occurring, seniors, their families, and caregivers must educate themselves in order to make informed decisions.
What are your thoughts about the Medicare and drug crisis? Are they taking advantage of senior citizens in this country? What part will the next administration play in this crisis?
