These grants are basically given to uplift the status of disabled people in society. They are given so that people can start their own business, attend school or get a job. To get a disability grant, you have to write an application stating your disability. This application should be signed by a medical officer. A person who cannot write an application on his own can appoint someone on his behalf. However, he will have to sign the application himself.

Housing grants are also given to small business owners who are disabled and want to make the whole environment more convenient. Grants are also given to upgrade equipment or disability furniture at home.

3)  Veterans – If you search disability grants by Government-Grant, you will also find many different grants for veterans. These grants are usually given to people who have been disabled in line of duty. Government grants for disabled people can really help them with Medicare so that their status in the society can be uplifted.
