Connecting With Others Who Care

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

During my travels around the ‘net, I came across another caregivers network. Under the umbrella of www.healthcentral.com is a caregivers group called CareConnection.com.

Last May, Dan Taylor wrote a wonderful tribute about his mother. You can read the tribute, along with my comment to Dan and his response, at CareConnection. Dan has written a number of excellent articles. Check them out when you have a few minutes.

Also involved in the Care Connection site is Suzanne Mintz, founder and President of National Family Caregivers Association. You can read her articles on either the Care Connection or the NFCA site.

I believe it is important for caregivers to know they are not alone. Isolation and loneliness haunts the lives of those caring for their parents and other relatives. If we can bond as a group and let caregivers know they are not alone, we have done a good thing.

There is a growing group of websites relating to care giving and elder care. I will keep a list of sites as I find them. If you know of a good site, please leave me a message.
