This week was a thrill as I was able to publish my second Kindle book in the Caring for Aging Parents series. Caregiver Burnout begins with a brief story about my relationship with Dad and how I ended up struggling with burnout. The rest of the seventy-two page book is much more positive and has a ton of ways you can prevent and overcome burnout.
I’m very excited about this book because I think it will be great help to caregivers. I’ve already heard from several people when they found out it was published, and they shared their own experience with the problem as they were caring for their parents.
Burnout is serious because it can lead to numerous health problems as well as mental and emotional problems such as depression. However, I’ve learned the hard way that caregiver burnout can be overcome with time and following the tools I share in this book. We have talked about care giving a lot on this site, and it is really the main reason Elder Care Cafe was created in the first place.
I hope you get a chance to check out Caregiver Burnout, and if you do purchase a copy please leave an honest review because that will help me become a better writer. My goal with this book is not to have a ton of sales, but to give caregivers an opportunity to learn from my experience and hopefully help them avoid burnout or get out of it if they are already there.
