Caregiver – A Peaceful Place Creates a Peaceful Mind

October 20th, 2009 · No Comments

Welcome back!

As caregivers soon learn, stress becomes part of their daily life. Long hours, mental and physical strain, and isolation, among other aspects, often leave the caregiver exhausted and at the breaking point. In the past, we have discussed a number of ways caregivers can de-stress when their duties seem overwhelming. Earlier this year I found another way to quiet the mind and find peace in the midst of my caregiver duties.

Previously, I reviewed a DVD filmed and edited by Bill Manning called Waterfalls. A beautiful scenic and musical compilation provides hours of relaxation. Now, he has compiled a second DVD in the series called Seashores.

What Seashores Provides

Seashores was filmed on the shores of Hawaii. What a beautiful setting for a peaceful interlude. Seashores runs approximately one hour, although the listener can spend just five or ten minutes if he or she chooses. There is also a setting for continuous looping and a choice of whether to listen to music or not.

The musical selections include the gentle sounds of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar, or the hypnotic effect of the Japanese Bamboo Flute known as the Shakuhachi. There are also selections of easy listening or meditative background music. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital Sound.

How You Can Use Seashores

There are several ways you can use this beautiful DVD:

  • First thing in the morning – You can start your day with 5-10 minutes relaxing with nature to get you started on the right foot.
  • Middle of the day break – Take a few minutes in the middle of your day to stretch, relax, and listen to the beautiful sounds. Then you can return to your caregiving tasks with a renewed sense of energy.
  • While you work – Whether you play the DVD on your computer, television set or DVD player, you can listen to the music or seashore sounds while you work.
  • Before going to bed – What a wonderful time to de-stress from a hectic day. Taking time to relax prior to going to bed will help you fall asleep more easily and gain more rest during the night.

Let the peace and tranquility of Hawaii bring you a sense of calmness during your busy day, or enjoy a peaceful interlude in the evening. Whenever you choose to use this wonderful DVD, you will enjoy every second you watch and/or listen to the sounds of water coming ashore in one of the most beautiful locations in the world.

If you are interested in obtaining the Seashores DVD or the Waterfalls DVD, you can find further information by going to the Natural Arts website at www.naturalartsmedia.com .

This is not an affiliate link. I do not make any money promoting this product. I just want to provide you with another opportunity to find peace in the midst of whatever storm you may experience during your time as a caregiver.

Personally, I do not believe you can go wrong by obtaining this beautiful, scenic audio and visual experience. May your caregiver days and nights be as peaceful as possible.
